My key interest remains residential, an area of the market that I have worked directly in for a number of years. I have been part of a profession that has progressed from ‘filling in the green bits in the home counties’ to having a key role in the master planning of urban regeneration schemes. I enjoy the politics and commerciality of this area of the market and retain the belief that high quality public realm can be achieved, and the role it plays is in the ascendancy. I am keen to further our response to truly sustainable communities with designs that reinforce that approach and don’t just tick the boxes of ‘code for sustainable homes’. I have overseen the growth of the practice from one small office in Farnham to one of the major players in the market with offices established in Hampshire, London and Manchester serving a wide range of clients.
