Ashleigh Theberge
I have had the opportunity to work with Andy during the last two semesters. He worked in the laboratory as an undergraduate researcher, designing, fabricating, and testing microfluidic devices for cell culture. Microfluidic devices are about the size of a credit card and contain small channels with at least one dimension on the sub-millimeter scale. Andy is proficient at device fabrication including using CAD software (SolidWorks), CNC milling, bonding plastics (using a hot press and solvent bonding), and surface modification (using oxygen plasma). Andy demonstrated considerable initiative and responsibility as he learned new skills; I am particularly impressed by his ability to teach others new techniques, troubleshoot when problems arise, and take ownership of his project. He works very well with others on the team, and multiple graduate students have commented on the high quality work he produces. It has been a pleasure working with Andy, and I am confident that he would be a positive addition to any team.

I would highly recommend Andy Siedschlag for any position that he might be interested in. I have known Andy for many years and watched him grow from a boy to a man. In his high school years he was an excellent student and athlete. He excelled at whatever he was involved in. This continued during his college years and he has now prepared himself to take this same focus and discipline into the working world. I would be happy to be a reference for Andy and any company would be lucky to have him join their team. Michael R. Bishop, Director, Insurance & Risk Management, The Mosaic Company
