    • Class II River Guide

The duties of this job require a good deal of responsibility. Whitewater Challengers takes on average 2000 people down the river on any giver release weekend. Putting up to 120 on each trip which equals about 20 rafts. Four to five guides are in charge of each trip and one of those guide are in charge of the guides and guests, assuming all responsibility. During the summer of 2014 I was promoted to a class 2 river guide, allowing me to begin trip leading and as long as I improve I can become class 3 which will be voted on by the review board in September. I am first aid, AED, and CPR certified, and handle medical/emergency incidents with a sense of calmness and proactive-ness. I am very personable with guests, and patient when patience is necessary, but act quickly and swiftly it need arise. Safety first, then teamwork. Show less
