With articulate and persuasive communication skills, my ability to present information across a variety of sources with clarity and conviction is paramount. • Fishing Guide/US Coast Guard Captain
      • May 2009 - Sep 2017

In SouthEast Alaska, I was tasked with the goal of guiding clients upon the waters and land in search of adventure, memory-making, and fish. The overarching goal was to come back safely, with smiled upon our faces, loaded down with lots of "edibles memories" in the shape of salmon, halibut, cod, clams, crabs and numerous other offerings. While upon the water, we shared the herring and krill with 20-ton humpback whales that made the trip from Hawaii to AK every summer to feed, prepping for having babies after the arduous trip back and forth. Managing a team of top-notch guides to do the same for the remaining guests was within my responsibilities, as well as managing those relationships and expectations. Every day brought new challenges and opportunities to grow, while fulfilling my desire for adventure and saltwater! Blink, and now it is 12 years later! Show less

    • Event Coordinator/Business Rep/Manager
      • Dec 2002 - Apr 2014

My time at Lost Trail Powder Mountain was diverse and deeply connected to who I am as a person and professional. I began at Lost Trail as a Level 1 Snowboard Instructor, and swiftly transitioned to designing and building Terrain Parks, to fill a personal need as much as a need expressed from the public. From there, a numerous training sessions at "Cutters Camp" located at Mt. Hood Oregon placed the skills within my grasp to coordinate a large group of employees all focused on the same task, to grow the freestyle ski and snowboard community in Montana. After a decade working towards this goal and a few riders working towards the Olypics and other large events, I helped create a community that is still thriving today. That is what kept me going back at 4AM, working with greasy snow-cats in the dark and cold, knowing that I was building something that eventually became more than what I had envisioned, and has taken a life of itself. Lost Trail is truly Powder Mountain, and a place that I will forever call home. Show less

    • Event Coordinator
      • Jan 2012 - Jan 2014

Working closely with Tate Chamberlain of Chamberlain Productions in partnership with Lost Trail Powder Mountain, I was tasked with the goal to bring the mountains to the city. Literally..... We created the custom ski and snowboard features designed for urban use, connected with the local Ice Rinks, gathered their Zamboni snow, and moved it onto th site where we created an urban "resort" out of scaffolding and terrain on site. During the events, my responsibilities included designing the course, set up and tear down, snow maintenance and sculpting, managing a team to help with these tasks, and finally MC'ing the event keeping the crowd and riders excited to continue the event. The ability to connect with communities in these unique ways showed me that the ability to add value can come in many different shapes, and to explore options that seem foreign or different, for an unusual added benefit. Helped coordinate freestyle terrain in downtown urban setting. Setup scaffolding, brought snow onto site from ice rink, and created a space to perform freestyle skiing and boarding in an area where none had been done before. Managed crew for snow upkeep through event. MC'd event keeping crowd stoked and riders pumped to throw down! Show less

    • Executive Chef
      • May 2005 - Sep 2009

As Executive Chef of a remote lodge in South East Alaska, variables were numerous and full of diverse challenges. I was tasked with ordering food for over 90 people for 7 days a week, for over 12 weeks. The orders took 2 weeks in advance to fill, so strategy and planning were of utmost focus, and execution of the meal plans was paramount. By combining my love of authentic meso-american quisine with southeast asian flair, I was able to create memorable dining experiences for clients that kept them talking about it, literally years later when I transitioned to the role of Guide.
