Head of Strategic Development for a top-10 European energy company and the largest firm in Central Europe by market cap, reporting to the deputy CEO. Responsibilities include strategy and large or complex M&A/investment/JV transactions. Managed the two largest deals CEZ pursued in my time here (both billion Euro opportunities), including deal structuring, negotiating, due diligence, valuation, bid design, managing large internal and external teams; plus smaller deals ranging from generation assets to VC. Also responsible for initiation and completion of a variety of strategy projects. Recently mainly focused on renewable energy; also extensive experience in conventional generation and almost everything else we do, ranging from retail and distribution to smart energy, energy storage, and telecom. Mainly focused on our core markets (Germany and neighboring countries), also France, the UK, Scandinavia, Central Europe and Turkey
