In my role at KTC, I am responsible for managing sales and relationships with established customers while also looking for new business avenues. This requires extensive and constantly growing knowledge of the capabilities of our company, as well as the demands of the industries we serve.

    • Mechanical Engineer/Proposals and Manufacturing
      • Jul 2016 - Nov 2018

In this role, I was responsible for quoting and estimating complex manufacturing projects. This could range from one off assemblies or parts, or programs producing quantities in the hundreds. This often required reading and understand lengthy SOWs and code to ensure that all requirements for inspection, testing, etc., were captured in our proposal. This required maintaining relationships with all levels of our company, including shop management for labor estimates, as well as engineering staff to communicate customer requirements. One of the larger responsibilities I had was to work with our company's large vendor base to communicate customer requirements, and also to make certain that the procurement process was accurate in the event our proposal resulted in a PO. I was also responsible for presenting finished proposals to upper management. This required me to sum up complex solicitations and manufacturing plans into as small of a window as possible, while being accurate and comprehensive. Show less
