Lead Tutor/ Assessor/ IQA
-
Dec 2014 - May 2017
At Kickstart2Employment, I was responsible for ensuring that the highest levels of quality are both achieved and maintained. This is done by leading regular standardisation meetings with assessors, ensuring verification processes set by the lead IQA are implemented effectively and also the thorough sampling of work, both interim and summatively. I also tutor a number of different bespoke training programmes that K2E deliver nationwide, including Sector Based Work Academies (tailored to retail, warehousing, customer service) and Activity Leadership. I make a conscious effort to ensure that all of my tutoring techniques are parallel to OFSTED requirements and that each student has a positive learning experience. Helping to raise learners confidence, motivation and levels of engagement are particular focal points when tutoring employability programmes.

I was responsible for delivering an NVQ Activity Leadership (L2) course with integrated Work-skills (L1). One of the main aspects of this role was to motivate, encourage and engage learners with particularly low levels of confidence and those furthest from the workplace. I also assessed the learners portfolios that were completed on the course, using a variety of different assessment techniques to cater to learners individual needs, allowing them to create their best work.
