  I was sponsored through university by the Defence Engineering and Science Group. This involved a pre-university intensive training year at the “AQUILA” site in Chislehurst, Kent. I also did summer placements every year, spending time at the Defence Research Agency in Malvern, the Directorate of Naval Shore Telecommunications in the Empress State Building London and Racal Radar Defence Systems in New Malden. I was sponsored through university by the Defence Engineering and Science Group. This involved a pre-university intensive training year at the “AQUILA” site in Chislehurst, Kent.
