4 month secondment focusing on the alignment and development of training competencies and policy: to ensure they meet the deadlines, standards, and requirements of the new national safe system of work currently being implemented across all NHS Ambulance HART units in the U.K. A key element of this has been to create easily-interpretable, user-friendly documentation that will stand-up to any scrutiny by the Health and Safety Executive or any other external agency. A request was made to my primary employer - by NARU - for the secondment to be extended, however this was not authorised due to current operational pressures.

Delivery of all components of the HART IRU and USAR Paramedic programmes - including the response to incidents involving: CBRNe, confined space, working at height, heavy transport, and mass casualties. Assisting with the research, design, and delivery of all components of the HART IRU and USAR Paramedic programmes. I co-authored and implemented the now-established HART Initial EDBA course: hosted at the Fire Service College. Commitment to delivering high-quality, immersive, realistic training - utilising the latest in casualty simulation technology, actors, moulage, and mannequins - to simulate the pressures faced by responding Paramedics within the inner cordon of a major or hazardous incident. I also led on a project to redesign the Faculty's casualty cards - to better reflect the observations required to determine triage categories, dependant on triage algorithm used. Working, and developing partnerships with the wider CBRN/USAR multiagency community related to NARU's training. This included: delivery of CBRNe-specific training to military personnel, management and co-ordination of partner agency guest speakers and role-players, as well as a deployment to Cameroon alongside PHE and PH Wales colleagues, to deliver bespoke practical training on the pre-hospital response to a suspected or confirmed Ebola incident within their country. This was delivered to medical (hospital) staff of all grades, in-partnership with national aid organisations, and the Cameroonian Ministry of Health. Flexible working - including working away from home, being prepared to work anywhere within the UK at short-notice, and weekend travelling. Being prepared to undertake further training and development appropriate to the role: On completion of the secondment, I had achieved the following qualifications: EDBA Instructor PRPS Instructor USAR Paramedic Instructor Managing Confined Spaces Draeger Technician: PSS100 and PSS7000 sets
