I was hired as a rapid prototype technician and quickly moved to be the lead machine maintenance technician. I am now responsible for doing all of the preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing additive manufacturing machines and their support machines, ordering parts, record-keeping, laser alignment and focusing, and much more on over forty machines. At Engineering Specialists I started as a paid intern and was kept on as an employee after I got my automation degree. I was responsible for reading electrical schematics, wiring complex electrical panels, metal fabrication, installation on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical devices, troubleshooting, and fixing any other problems throughout the project. I did this both at our facility and as a contract employee. At Engineering Specialists I started as a paid intern and was kept on as an employee after I got my automation degree.
