Maureen Horton

Andrew never loses sight of the "big picture" in the region but his attention to detail, in local issues, coupled with his remarkable sensitivity to the needs of others, singles him out as a "dream" to work with! I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Sharon Oliver

I worked with Andrew in his role within Skills for Health as part of our collective engagement with health care employers, universities, colleges, the Skills Funding Agency / National Apprenticeship Service (formerly Learning and Skills Council). I found Andrew to be extremely collaborative and supportive to achieving our joint interests and in trying to find realistic solutions to blockages around progress in the training and development of health care staff. He worked in a very complex environment with multiple layers of politics and relationships, but was able to maintain progress for both his own organisation and to achieve common visions with partner organisations such as my own. I always found him to be receptive to new ideas and also very willing to make proposals of his own in a way which kept everyone working together towards common goals, keeping patients and learners at the heart of projects and actions. In any future role, I am sure he will be proactive and able to utilise his considerable experience and broad awareness in challenging situations to good effect.
