I decided to sell this company and move out of town before getting married, but this experience allowed me to learn early on the importance of hard work and help define my love for small business. I worked with this company as a second job that I was able to work in the afternoons after I had completed my lawn maintenance jobs for the day. I started off in a cashier/general labor position and worked my way up to manager within a year of being with the company. As manager I was responsible for the care of the store between the owners weekly visits.
