I am a full service financial advisor at the very busy, North Vancouver Lonsdale branch. I provide my clients with sound financial advice and offer the necessary products for all their borrowing and investing needs. I also close the mortgage broker deals that come to our branch and therefore have an excellent understanding of the mortgage broker channel. • Franchisee / Owner / M&M Meat Shops
      • Jul 2004 - Jul 2014

I opened the Squamish M&M Meat Shops franchise in July of 2004. Over the years I became skilled in all aspects of business operation and management, including budgeting, inventory control, payroll, advertising and promotions. I’m extremely proud of my employee retention over the years. I had two employees who worked for me from when I opened until I sold the franchise. In ten years I only employed seven people. Constantly interacting with people, I've developed excellent customer service skills. In order to increase my business and maximize individual transactions, I become proficient at recognizing how and when to use different sales techniques, while maintaining a pleasant relationship with my customers. Over my ten years with M&M, I had the opportunity to organize several charity BBQs throughout the communities of Squamish and Whistler. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) is M&M’s national charity and I raised thousands of dollars every year in support of these often forgotten illnesses. My charity BBQ’s not only raise much needed funds in support of inflammatory bowel disease, but provide a presence for my business that was very positive and well respected. I was a member of the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and the Squamish Breakfast Club. The later was a charitable group of approximately twenty business owners in conjunction with the Squamish RCMP. We raised money and funded underprivileged groups and organizations in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor. Notable groups include: Helping Hands Homeless Shelter and D.A.R.E. drug and alcohol awareness classes for high school students. In 2010 I became a member of the inaugural M&M Meat Shops Chairman’s Club, honoring the top twenty-five franchisees in Canada for exemplary work in maintaining a sound business.
