  During my time at JIS I have held a variety of posts. I arrived as an ICT teacher, teaching IGCSE and A' Level. I took on the role of Head of House which progressed to Head of the House System. I became Head of Years 7 the 8, and then became Deputy Head of the Middle School. At this point I changed my teaching focus to Years 7 and 8 but continuing with the IGCSE groups.On the non-academic side I have been heavily involved with many extra-curricular activities, focussing mainly on drama and sports. Over the years I have written plays specifically for our students and produced some classics. One of my favourites was setting Macbeth in a 21st century Help Desk environment. For the last three years my focus has been on working with the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Along with being an Award Leader and an Assessor, I run the On-line Record Book, (ORB). This is an electronic interface which the students use to record their work. JIS has the largest DoE (IA) intake in SEAsia, and we have become a flagship school for the award.
