I was the joint founder of a business selling woodburning stoves and fireplaces from a retail showroom. This was an entrepreneurial move for me, setting up the business from scratch and running the business from its inception until I sold my share in April 2016. Having taken the relevant qualification, followed by plenty of market research, developed it into a working business. We went from the initial idea to opening the retail shop to customers in under three months, from which point I took sole responsibility for (amongst other things): - Sales - Operations - Customer Service - Marketing - Website - Supplier Relations - Budgeting, payments and reporting - CRM system design We secured a high-end brand as our anchor product, meaning we were their sole retailer across South London. We positioned ourselves to give a highly customer focused service in a stylish environment, within a rapidly expanding market. The business was sold as a going concern and operates from a boutique showroom in South London, providing a full fitting service, wide range of high-end appliances and custom made fireplaces.
