      The Great Western Society is based at the Didcot railway Centre which is a preserved steam locomotive shed that contains their collection of hundreds of items of historic rolling stock, buildings, and countless other items.       Published author being personally selected to write a book in Haynes Publishing Limited’s Historic Owner’s Workshop Manual series about the Castle Class steam locomotive. This required meticulous levels of research, determination and high quality communication skills to achieve. Successful production many of the illustrations for the book using various computer aided design packages. The manuscript was described by them as one of the best they have ever received, requiring almost no editing or modification. The book has been very well received and reviewed by press and readership alike. Additionally - numerous articles and interviews published in Steam Railway, Heritage Railway and The Railway Magazines which have been praised for their concise, entertaining and informative nature.
