• Regularly review, monitor, and update the company’s overall health and safety policies to ensure they encompass and comply with all aspects of the business • I attend monthly safety meetings with Midas Managing Director, where I address and suggest the company’s key health and safety focusses for the months ahead. I then issue minutes down to all levels of the company, ensuring each individual department understands their upcoming roles and responsibilities • Provide functional management skills with key health and safety advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health and personally oversee the practical implementation of Midas’ Health & Safety policies • Attend weekly meetings across all avenues of the company and provide pre-start health and safety advice prior to any projects commencing • Visit various sites across the UK to audit and review Midas project works to ensure health and safety standards are continually maintained with reports issued to evidence - on larger scale projects I also collate the data from all safety visits to issue in end of project reports to clients • Meet and liaise with potential subcontractors prior to project works before assessing all aspects of the subcontractor’s health and safety documentation to determine the competency and suitability for the works proposed • Liaising with Midas subcontractors and new direct employees to provide an overview and induction of Midas health and safety policies and safe systems of work to ensure that prior to any works being conducted the inductees are fully conversant with Midas’ safety standards • I conduct and assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents where appropriate.
