• Machined Acrylic, Aluminum, and Steel using SolidWorks/HSMWorks g-code in 3-axis Mill and Lathe into tissue clamps for uniaxial and biaxial testing apparatuses • Designed mechanical and electrical project layout, analyzed material costs, planned project creation timetables, and written project approval reports for multiple testing apparatuses • Researched, recommended, and purchased TestResources 100 Single Column machine • Dissected Bovine, Porcine and Human heart tissues to determine ultimate heart tissue forces • Utilized cryogenics of tissue for preservation and uniaxial testing • Used AutoCAD 2014 to cut and engrave acrylic for biaxial bath top using a VLS6.60 laser cutter • Designed and implemented electrical and physical layout for lab to include Bose ElectroForce 3330 and TestResources 100 Single Column • Developed tests to determine elasticity of tissues using Bose and TestResources machines • Programmed tests in LabVIEW to read force gauge data and export information to Microsoft Excel sheets to be analyzed by Matlab for ANOVA statistical relevancy tests • Used C++ to control Arduino-based embedded circuitry for biaxial tissue testing and 3D printing • Relegate and help with machining, wiring, and programming less technical or accurate parts to newer Undergraduates that wish to expand their skills in these areas Show less
