As an order selector, I have been trained in HPC's policy and procedures including but not limited to: Ride-on pallet jack operation, vocollect voice order selection, cross-contamination, inventory control, proper pallet building, lifting and lowering, and physical product identification.Order selection involves physically selecting food and non-food products that HPC's customers have ordered to ship. Under engineered labor standards, and with the assist of voice-entering technology, I follow a pick path and select products in one of three temperature controlled environments (dry, cooler, frozen). Other responsibilities involve aiding CDL light-duty drivers on their daily routes. Light-duty drivers may be temporarily limited to the physical demands of a delivery driver, but has been cleared to operate a tractor/trailer. Riding along with the driver, I help complete the daily responsibilities that may include but are not limited to:Receiving customer cash on delivery (COD).Delivering temperature controlled product into the correct customer storage area (freezer, cooler, dry)Communicating invoice discrepancies with customers, and HPC Inventory Control.Completing the "last mile delivery" face-to-face customer service that HPC prides itself on.
