English 104 Rhetoric and Composition 2The purpose of this class is to expand students’ ability to read critically in various public and professional writing they will encounter as students and to write well-researched and documented papers that reflect their ability to engage in and argue issues of public and academic importance. The class culminates in a 10-12 page research paper that helps them utilize the skills of paraphrasing, abstracting, synthesizing, and analyzing in order to make a cogent argument in writing.
