  I am currently responsible for the overall management of two aged care facilities, including all services and resources – with a combined bed number of 112 funded beds. The main tasks associated with my current role include all aspects of staff management: recruitment, training and performance management; allocation of resources, policy review and development, and the collection of performance data for the assessment, planning and management of outcomes. This includes ACFI, occupancy, incident reports, workers compensation reviews and analyses, staff performance, and risk management. I utilise a sound knowledge of the aged care sector and relevant legislation to support and promote a safe and equitable working environment including (but not limited to) application of the Aged Care Act, WHS and EEO principles. I lead by example, and support change and learning cultures within our organisation, striving to ensure that our workplace delivers the highest possible standard of responsible, quality care for residents. I am oversee accreditation compliance, project management, strategic planning, and advanced coaching initiatives, and have lead a number of service development changes that have resulted in significant improvements to our overall service delivery.   Andrew has worked for Nambucca Valley Care as a senior manager since early 2011. Andrew has previously held senior executive roles in the acute healthcare sector in both private and public settings over a six year period, including a position as Executive Officer/Director of Nursing across multiple health care sites. Human resource planning - including recruitment, skill mix and industrial issues. In the course of undertaking these tasks, I had to observe statutory regulations, NSW Department of Health, Area, Network and local policies – communicating this to staff, whilst monitoring results. During this time, I also had to continue undertaking all of the duties described above (Nurse Manager Level 3), as no additional support was available to backfill the role of nurse manager.
