  As a program specialist in the Office of Homeless Care and Coordination, I have a unique opportunity to affect the outcomes of residents experiencing homelessness in Alameda County in a profound way. My role enables me to develop, implement and evaluate various aspects of the permanent supportive housing (PSH) pipeline for the county. By acting as a liaison between housing operators, community-based organizations, and residents experiencing homelessness, I get to facilitate PSH opportunities and ensure programs meet HUD and other state, local and federal guidelines.

  Within the newly appointed Office of Homeless Care and Coordination, under the former Director of Housing, I performed several tasks related to data analysis and data quality reporting for the portfolio of MHSA contracts in permanent supported housing for the county. I evaluated the various Results Based Accountability (RBA) performance measures to propose a subjective qualitative measurement for program participants within supportive housing. I was highly engaged in the Alameda County Supported Housing Learning Collaborative which included the analysis and report of collaborative participants' feedback, and hosting of trainings/presentations for the collaborative. I had several opportunities to provide feedback on the proposed changes that went into various contracts operated within the county for community based organizations.
