    • Senator

In my first semester, I was voted in as a Senator to represent the law students in my section in the Student Bar Association. During my time as a Senator, I assisted fellow law students, some of whom were within my constituency and some who were not, with the creation of new law school organizations. My primary responsibilities were to vote on the various student organization budgets, suggest any changes, and vote on new amendments to the SBA constitution. Later in the Spring 2020 semester, I suggested new amendments to the SBA Constitution. Sponsored by the Friends of Ashley Schiff Park Preserve (FASPP) Foundation, this project involved a team and I utilizing camera traps to capture human and animal use of the Ashley Schiff Park Preserve on Stony Brook University campus. This population study was conducted to collect data to answer the question, "How many people use the park on a daily basis?". Upon the arrival of the Fall 2016 semester, I became the undergraduate leading the research under the supervision and mentoring of Sharon Pochron. Our data is used by the FASPP for park management, maintenance, and for conservation efforts. This project has ecological, environmental and epidemiological attributes to its previous conception and future goals. In recognition of my efforts and involvement, I received the Friends of Ashley Schiff Park Scholarship. Show less

I was involved in this project where the team and I collected data to study the effects of glycophosphate on microbial soil communities and earthworms. I earned research credit for my involvement, which concluded upon the end of Stony Brook University's summer semester. This research study is conducted during all school semesters for credit and is supervised by Sharon Pochron. I plan on rejoining this study soon.
