In 2018, I partook in a 5-week long trip to India with the task of engaging with different youth-based organisations in Delhi. During this trip, we visited a range of grass-roots movements that specialised in the service provision support to homeless families, and victims of assault. We also met with a service offering a range of programs and services to support children and youth who have been exposed or are at risk of being trafficked for labor or sexual exploitation. As part of the placement we also visited organisations and discussed topics surrounding the importance of sexuality and consent, as well as sharing ideas with other grass-roots movements that had a focus on mental health issues.
