Andrei Stancalie received his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering and optoelectronics from University ’Politehnica’ Bucharest, Romania, in 2010 and 2012. Currently he is PhD in Applied Physics, with PhD thesis on the Characterization of optical fiber sensors. The main activity is devoted to experimental and theoretical studies on the following topics: - fibre optics, sensors, radiation effects on optical fibres and optical components; - testing Long Period Gratings Online under Gamma irradiation in cooperation with ANDRA (Agence nationale pour la gestion des déchets radioactifs) France; - testing bragg grattings in radiation hardened optical fibers under electron beam irradiation in cooperation with the Institute of Photonic Technology, Jena, Germany; - Graduated ‘Optical sensors training course” for completion of the professional skills in experimental physics and related applications, Micron Optics, Switzerland , Member of the International Scientific Organization - Member of the Optical Society of America-Student Chapter, - International Society for Optical Engineering-Student Chapter.
