Research project on the pathogenic mechanisms of Cushing's disease. Cushing's disease is caused by small pituitary tumors that produce excessive uncontrolled amounts of the hormone ACTH leading to the development of hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis and is eventually lethal if untreated. Specifically, I work on identifying targets of cell cycle regulators for control of proliferation. This entails molecular biology experimentation and marker assessment on sections of patient adenomas. Research project on the pathogenic mechanisms of Cushing's disease.
