Window Magic melts found sounds, manipulated source material and field recordings into tape deck ghosts. Growing up in East-Berlin, Andreas Bonkowski was fascinated by tape recorders and shortwave radio stations, filling C60s of his late night findings and experimenting to make his own versions of songs and broadcasts. With four albums, remixes for other like-minded explorers and many live shows later, Window Magic defined his space in the ambient realm.
