  For this project, arebyte gallery has invited MA CCC to create a tool kit to guide and aid curators, in their journey into the expanding field of online curation. The focus of the project is the assembly of a digital network of creative practitioners, a support system to accompany each other through the processes and challenges of online curating. Aiming to provide a useful theoretical context for the history, reperesentaton and the contemporary relevance of net.art. At the same time, the tool kit would bring together tools deemed necessary by the group members, in the process of curating. This contributes to the complex journey of navigating the possibilities and challenges of curating online. The project, taking its name from the term, ‘beta’, which means a trial version of an eventualy finished product, embraces the process of online curation, versus the possibilities of its eventual ‘final’ form. The framework of ‘trial version’ suggests the need for updates, adjustments and additions. Perhaps, a final form might never exist, as one might expect it. Show less
