Involved in photovoltaic installations in order to produce electricity for the country's power needs. The main element is the solar cell which is a silicon semiconductor converting solar light (photons) into electricity (voltage), connecting in series and parallel to form a PV station. Then inverting the DC power to AC power and connecting to the public grid. In a fast moving & highly competitive PV market, one must be aware of the market and choose the correct equipment. Then apply for the licence to build the pv station on a house roof or ground plot. Construction includes the pv panels, the basements, cable laying, the telematics, alarm & lighting etc. The budget of the construction must be continously reviewed & updated to keep the Owner aware. Transportations and work force is always in mind. In order to yield the more power from a PV installation, all materials should be to the top quality, certified & guaranteed. Before construction the location is considered as for the total annual hours of sunshine which involves the coordinates & surrounding natural and artificial obstacles which may cause shadows on the pv station over the year. After installation, daily remote monitoring is required as well as maintenance about once a year. Having involved in all aspects of a pv construction is an experience of several aspects. Show less

Loans service
-
Jun 1996 - Aug 1996
While student at the Polytechnic, employed by the National Mortgage of Greece for three (3) summer months full time. The case was that a lot of the customers of the bank could not repay their loans, then the bank announced an adjustment by which the customer could pay his capital and get a generous discount on the interests. The response was great and the workload increased. Simple office jobs were very important, collecting the customers' applications, accepting their natural visits in the bank, calculating their loan and service them. This job enhanced the banking and economics knowledge in practice. Show less
