Public art studio specializing in community engagement, interactive art and art as social practice. Success winning commissions across the United States, currently expanding in Canada. I am a confident and experienced creative manager dedicated to exploring innovative solutions, developing new community engagement processes and promoting thoughtful interactive design for art in the public realm. I am at my finest when creative problem solving, and developing artistic concepts, programs and events. In my role with Orlosky Studio, I am a creative strategist for new participatory art concepts and interactive, community-focused approaches to design problems. I create winning proposals for a commissions-based bid process that involves public and private RFP’s. I am the primary author of our business publications, contracts, promotional items, website, and media releases. My deep experience in public engagement has given me a keen understanding of interaction in event and festival settings. I am an energetic community liaison for external partner development and our ongoing relationships manager. As a key developer of our community engagement plans, I seek to exceed industry expectations through a comprehensive approach. I assess and evaluate the efficacy of completed strategies to improve outcomes for future projects. In my role I also create and review project budgets, budgetary projections and feasibility assessments. I manage the production of large scale works of permanent public art, setting completion timelines for fabricators and contractors, and developing maintenance plans for ongoing care of artworks. • Founding Executive Director
      • Mar 2007 - Sep 2017

My role as Founding Executive Director for Art on Wheels began with passion, and an understanding that the whole community was not being served by existing agencies and their approaches. Back in 2007, we realized that in our area, older adults, and disabled or chronically ill individuals weren’t even considered part of the conversation around access to the arts or the therapeutic benefits of arts participation. We worked, insistently, to bring these voices to the table. To do this, I had to advocate, repeatedly – to private foundations, to state funding agencies, to individuals and to the media, to bring about an understanding that these populations represented a significant gap in services by the arts community. Now many years later, this work has paid off- funding agencies have altered their priorities to be more inclusive, and we pioneered an industry in our area where previously there wasn’t one. I am an inventive leader who created the vision and strategic agenda for Art on Wheels through resource development, sound fiscal management and operational excellence. I jumpstarted organization growth from 70 annual class participants to 3,544 annually in seven years, and provided oversight and management for 1,963 therapeutic arts classes. I led creative and administrative teams on 146 community engagement projects, reaching 46,300 community participants. Impressions of Courage is a project I take a lot of pride in. It is a monumental, 733’ public artwork that engaged thousands of individuals, honoring hundreds of people affected by cancer and required many dozens of volunteers, artists and the full investment of Board and staff to pull off. As Executive Director, I managed the many moving parts of this extremely complex, multi-year project to create a masterpiece of public involvement and community support, and it is indicative of the ambition, skills and creative approach I bring to my work.
