      • Graduate Research Assistant under the supervision of the Alberta Innovates-Technology Futures Strategic Chair in Bio and Industrial Materials at the University of Alberta and a Senior Researcher at the InnoTech Corrosion Engineering team located in Devon (AB) for the execution two parallel projects oriented to mitigate corrosion: the evaluation of lignin suitability as a corrosion inhibition and the development of an updated predictive model for the Microbially Influenced Corrosion (MIC) for oil & gas pipelines. • Co-authored a scientific manuscript about literature and technology reviews for green corrosion inhibitors. • Executed bench top experiments for corrosion inhibition testing according to required ASTM G-1, G-102, G-185, and G-170 standards at InnoTech- Devon facilities. • Interpreted experimental LPR (Linear Polarization Resistance) data using GAMRY® software and Co-authored the internal technical report for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. This activity resulted in the elaboration of a second co-authored scientific manuscript about the results obtained in the 2016-2017 fiscal year. • Participated of the dissemination of this project at Edmonton NACE International Northern Area Western Conference (NAWC) 2017 and in the presentation of results with the Agroforestry sector representative at Alberta Innovates. As a result, also participated on the formulation of the proposal and budget required to fund the continuation of the project for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. • Conducted literature and technology reviews for the development of a corrosion numerical model, including information about the execution of bench top experiments for MIC corrosion testing. Co-authored a scientific paper about the existing MIC models available in literature. Show less
