I have worked closely with Andrea on a regional conference that is held each year called the Southeastern Seaboard Emergency Nurses Symposium for several years. Andrea is one of the founders for this conference and has been extremely successful under her guidance. When I think of Andrea and words to describe her, passion, vision, innovative, comprehensive, enthusiasm, determination, high quality performance, and motivation immediately come to mind. You will never find a more positive, and sincere person. Andrea possesses very strong managerial and leadership attributes. She is always willing to share her knowledge and expertise with everyone and makes suggestions for constructive change. She is well recognized in the Emergency Nurses Association, a national organization, as a Fellow in the Academy of Emergency Nursing. There is only 87 extraordinary emergency nurses that have this title.

I had the pleasure of working directly with Dr. Andrea Novak from 2004-2006 at Southern Regional Area Health Center. I had seen Andrea at nursing conferences as a speaker and was thrilled at the opportunity to work with her. Andrea always found creative ways to problem solve. She worked to provide targeted quality affordable nursing education for the nine county region. She did this for large medical centers, military medical centers and small rural hospitals with equal skill. Dr. Novak also worked on the state level to improve nursing education and nurse preparedness. She was a part of several innovative programs that brought more nurse educators to the region and helped nurses who had been out of the field renew their skills and rejoin the workforce. Andrea is active in leadership and membership of several national organizations. She is a driving force on a local and national level. I no longer work with Andrea but I consider her a mentor and continue to use her as a resource. I would recommend Dr. Novak for any position she pursues. She is a consummate professional who also manages to bring creativity and energy to any project she works on. Reply
