Conducted financial forecasts and led five cities into adopting a new membership fee structure that ensures financial sustainability. Developed relationships with new partners which increased direct and in kind contributions by $64,000, from a base budget of $100,000. Wrote the application to achieve competitive Opportunity Zone designation, offering a federal capital gains tax incentive for investment. As of January 2019, this designation attracted interest representing over $100M of private investment in Burien. Created hotel attraction plan in response to community’s long held (20 years!) goal. Led successful RFP process which resulted in unanimous council action to enter into a disposition and development agreement for 140 room hotel plus 100 units of multi-family housing with highly reputable firm.
