Andrea worked in our laboratory at the Tissue Regeneration department at the University of Twente, The Netherlands, for a period of ~9 months. During this time, he fmiliarized with rapid prototyping technologies to create three dimensional scaffold, which are porous materials used in tissue engineering. Andrea further performed mechanical and cellular studies on these 3D structures. He made a significant contribution to our research efforts in this area and proved to be a very diligent, hard worker. He showed a great initiative during these months and built a very good interpersonal relationship with both students and staff in the lab.
