Internship

For the preparation of the thesis, I did an internship at the Division of robotics in the Department of Research and Development of the STMicroelectronics Company in Agrate Brianza (Milan). The internship was renewed after graduation to continue the work related to the thesis, which concerned the development of electronic control of a miniaturized manipulator for surgery. I studied: • Study and test various electronic components (microcontrollers, sensors, power drivers, etc. ..) • Design and production of printed circuit boards (PCBs); • Implementation of firmware for the microcontroller (in C / C++) on such cards; • PC side software development in C + + also exploiting the Qt library, which allows control and communication with the electronic cards; Show less
