A "rockstar" is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Andrea's dedication to her customers, team and company! I had the pleasure of working with Andrea for several years while at McKesson as she provided clinical workflow subject matter expertise across multiple applications. Andrea was very resourceful in bringing her team together in order to scope new services, cross-train staff and engage in the development of standardizing product implementations for a better customer experience. Andrea's ability to think outside the box with solution based ideas, while keeping the customer at the forefront, helped achieve high customer satisfaction levels within the service line. Andrea is a great asset to any team who will have her!

In my position as Senior Nurse Informatics Analyst, I have three main roles: Analyst, Educator and Informaticist. As an analyst for the Paragon electronic health record, I test, build, and maintain clinical assessments, physician templates, orders, and order sets. As an educator, I provide onboarding and upgrade training for our clinical staff and physicians in both classroom and remote settings. As an informaticist I look for workflow optimization opportunities and collaborate with senior leadership on quality improvement projects for the electronic health record, such as implementing evidence-based order sets. Recently, I was Site Implementation Lead for our transition to the Epic electronic health record which went live on December 3rd, 2022. I now provide end user support for Epic, troubleshoot issues and request support tickets for our shared platform. I continue to educate clinicians and providers, looking for opportunities to close knowledge gaps surrounding the new system. I obtained my Epic Clinical Informatics certification to help me continue analyzing workflows and find ways to optimize use of Epic. Show less

Working within the Accelerated Services division, I traveled to client sites to provide comprehensive, effective training and onsite support for all phases of the Paragon Clinical EMR implementation. My responsibilities included training on software configuration, leading classroom sessions, providing physician education and go live support. I worked as a team lead on projects and take on project management responsibilities such as project planning, schedule management, coordination of the implementation team, time tracking and issue escalation. I created strong and lasting relationships with customers by demonstrating that our team can meet their business needs and continually advocate on their behalf. I worked in conjunction with clients and analyze clinical workflows, identify and implement changes to processes and ensure all electronic healthcare record requirements are achieved. Additionally, I provided support for the hospital project team in building, testing and implementing the Paragon software. For those clients already using the live Paragon system, I conducted optimization reviews and assist in the design and analysis of workflows and system configurations. I had many achievements during my time with McKesson's Accelerated Services division. I received the Rookie of the Year award during my first year of service for outstanding performance. I successfully obtained Paragon certification for both Nursing and Physician applications, taking on the extra challenge to learn new software and master new skills. I demonstrated the ability to learn a non-McKesson EMR system by working in the MEDITECH 6.x platform implementing CPOE and Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances at a client site. I achieved MEDITECH 6.x proficiency in PCM, PCS and ERX software and became a valued member of the implementation team. Show less

During this role, I successfully obtained the Epic certification for Ambulatory & Hospital Outpatient Department software. Following comprehensive analysis of workflows, I utilized data to build or configure software, and in conjunction with physicians, develop clinically accurate content for order set build. Subsequently, I developed training tools to guide super user and end user training on the application’s functionality. I provided comprehensive onsite training on Paragon systems for a range of customers. This required me to operate within a variety of facilities from critical access hospitals to 400+ beds for nursing and ancillary staff. Supporting the Clinical Carestation build, functionality and testing, I provided go live support as well as end user classroom education where I educated customers on application integration points with bar code scanning and order entry software. I was responsible for project monitoring to ensure customers were on target for meeting project timelines. I would perform risk assessment and issue escalation as necessary working directly with the Paragon Services Project Manager. Show less

As a Medical Cardiology Unit Nurse, I worked within fast-paced telemetry units with high acuity complex medical and surgical patients. Additionally, as an Emergency Room Nurse, I provided primary care, triage, fast track and level III trauma care for adult and pediatric patients. I worked as a travel nurse in multiple states throughout the continental US and gained insight to various regional differences in state regulations. As a travel nurse I was challenged to constantly adapt and grow my nursing skills in new work environments. This exposure to various hospital and software systems strengthened my background in EMRs.
