As Head of the English Department, I also teach a full load of AP English Literature and AP English Language and Composition courses to juniors and seniors at VCHS. In addition, I am the Head Soccer Coach for the Girls Varsity Soccer Team. I also am the international travel Advisor where I recently led a group of 20 students to NZ/AUS and am preparing to take over 20 students to Greece this June, 2024. I currently teach AP English Language and mentor colleagues in both AP and 10th grade English. In addition to my current teaching placement, I have taught Honors American Literature, 9th, and 8th grade English in the Middle School. In 2016-2017 I was a mentor teacher for the Teaching Fellows Program (a program to equip young teachers with tools and skills necessary to teach in the 21st century) where I worked closely with a recent college graduate to hone her teaching skills and become a full-time teacher.Also, I have chaperoned and led over ten global trips to various parts of the world including backpacking trips to Yosemite, Utah and Iceland, and service trips to India, Portugal, South Africa and China.
