As a Conservation Specialist I visited climbing areas on public lands throughout the country to consult, coordinate, and implement conservation projects with land managers, local organizations, and volunteers. Projects focused on conserving natural and recreational resources in popular climbing areas. Over the course of two years, I worked on 50 projects in 20 states, leading over 2,000 volunteers to implement strategic conservation initiatives. I also educated 200 youth and over 1,000 adults on recreation stewardship and sustainable land management. Additional tasks include comprehensive mapping and analysis of recreation impacts and logistics planning for 10 month of full time travel. Show less

As a Research assistant I contributed to grant funded research and monitoring of RMFI led restoration projects for post-fire recovery in Pike National Forest. I performed field data collection and statistical analysis of restoration project effectiveness in vegetation regrowth and stream channel stability in the Hayman burn area. I contributed to publications and prepared information for National Forest Foundation grant report. As a Field Instructor, I implemented, instructued and led restoration and trail projects in the Pike's Peak region. Key areas included high impact recreation sites, post fire burn areas and high alpine trail construction and maintenance. Led and ensured safety of volunteers and corps members of diverse demographics during single and multi day projects as well as a one month long back country alpine trail project. As a Field Coordinator, I coordinated logistics for volunteer projects in the Garden of the Gods and Waldo Canyon Burn Area.
