Andrea is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the dental industry. Her book "Organise & Thrive" is a fabulous resource for any dental practice. The 5 foundations that Andrea trains is not only valuable, but essential reading for anyone in the dental industry. I highly recommend Andrea as a speaker and trainer to help businesses thrive.

Organised Dental was established to facilitate my work as a consultant to the dental sector and the delivery of coaching and training services. The passion that drives Organised Dental centres on challenging the long-accepted beliefs within the dental community that excessive levels of stress and injury are simply part of the job. Unfortunately, these beliefs are backed up by statistics with many studies showing that individuals working in the dental field do suffer concerning physical and mental health issues which can go on to have very serious impacts on the individual effected, their families, their patients and their practices. Organised Dental’s mission is to bring awareness to this reality and to work towards changing it.

Presenting talks to all facets of the dental community allows me to get my message of hope out there and inspire much needed change. The conditions that exist in many dental workplaces, whether small private practices, community health centres or large corporate clinics, are often less than optimal and will sooner or later have a detrimental effect on the people working there. These people want to improve the health and wellbeing of their patients, yet their own health and wellbeing is often being compromised in the process. As a speaker, I want to engage audiences in looking at how the damaging effects of an unhealthy workplace environment or culture can be identified and improved. I’m interested in shifting attitudes so that the current high levels of stress, injury and illness are no longer simply accepted and endured. There is a growing awareness that our health and wellbeing are integral to our success in all aspects of our lives so finding positive, healthy and sustainable solutions is more important than ever.I present on a variety of topics related to improving the lives of dental professionals and can tailor a presentation to cater for the interests of specific audiences.

I work closely with practice owners who want to improve the operations and environments of their practices. These are often first-time owners who are setting up new practices or are taking over existing businesses and discover that running a successful practice involves a great deal more than just providing excellent dentistry services. Both coaching relationships and training opportunities can be very rewarding. They allow me to see the challenges experienced by dental professionals up close and watch implemented solutions bring positive and measurable results.

I started working in the dental sector at the tender age of 18 and I have never left. For almost four decades I have worked in various roles within Dental Support Teams including Receptionist, Dental Assistant, Clinic Co-Ordinator and Practice Manager. I have worked as a temp and as a full-time employee and in recent years I have worked as a Consultant Practice Organiser assisting the Monash Medical Centre and several private practices in their efforts to streamline and revitalise the way their practices function. I deliberately sought out a wide variety of positions because I wanted to be exposed to a range of dental services, to the needs of different patient demographics, and to the work of different organisations. Being a member of Dental Support Teams has been enormously rewarding and directly informs my current work as a consultant, speaker and coach withing the dental community. Some of the settings I have worked within include: • Monash Health - Monash Medical Centre Dental Unit • Dental Health Services Victoria - The Royal Dental Hospital, Melbourne • Australian Dental Health Foundation • Verve Dental, Michael Woods Orthodontics and many other private practices • Greater Dandenong Community Health • Australian Defence Force - Defence Health at Victoria Barracks • Inner South Health Service • School Dental Special Needs Caravan
