Mike Mainland

Andrea Doradea Rivera was an excellent student within the Human Services Foundations program at Conestoga College. During the 2020-21 academic year, I had the opportunity to teach Andrea in four courses: Enhancing Student Success, Developmental Psychology, Social Issues, and Digital Literacy. In all four of her courses with me, Andrea has been an A+ level student. One example of this is in Developmental Psychology where Andrea finished with a final grade of 95%. Andrea is a highly insightful and creative student and this was evident in her course assignments, including podcasts, and complex written responses. Andrea is an engaged and highly motivated student, who works as a dynamic teammate with those around her. She accomplishes tasks with a high degree of attention to detail and with an impressive level of depth and insightfulness. Andrea has a bright future, both educationally and professionally, and I am honored to provide this reference for her. Sincerely, Mike Mainland, PhD Professor, Conestoga College

I was a sales associate at Marshall's and Homesense. In this position, I developed customer services skills through assisting customers on the sales floor, as well as on a cash register. I helped maintain a tidy environment for customers to shop in and occasionally helped in training new associates. Through assisting and working with multiple associates during my shifts, I also developed good interpersonal and communication skills. I was a sales associate at Marshall's and Homesense.
