  Alutrade holds agency agreements with a number of factories mostly involved in aluminium semi fabricated products and packaging materials used in the pharmaceutical and food industries. We acted as the sales arm of our partners in a wide range of products including composite panels for architectural and signage applications and products for the oil industry to limit evaporation of stored products.I bought the company in 2006 from proceeds generated through developing new accounts.One of my new accounts became our number one customer.

  My first job, was 100% new business development focusing on smaller users at higher margins. I successfully developed this market before concentrating on developing special markets (electrical conduit and drawn tube respectively).Opened a new territory for the company in neighboring Swaziland.I was promoted to Branch Manager and moved from Johannesburg to Durban in 1992.I achieved my first management position at the age of 22 years and managed a team of four. My responsibilities included leadership and motivation of the team and building on the good sales results of the past years.
