HPViCo is a Swedish innovative startup connected to scientific research which develops ultra hard and transparent thin films. My job was to perform optical tests on the thin films and assist in the deposition process. The job gave me an unique opportunity to gain practical experience about the plasma vapour depositions method called sputtering. As project leader for the Mechanical Engineering Association's reception committee, MPiRE, I ensured that the reception for the 300 new students was of high quality and rewarding for everyone involved. My main focus was communication and I actively worked to streamline the committee's internal communication methods. As a project leader, I looked after the group's best interests and worked strategically to move the work forward. I also handle the external communication with the other reception committees, the student union LinTek and Linköping University. The responsibility also gave me a seat on the board of the Student organisation of Mechanical Engineering. Show less

During Mechanical Engineering's student reception of 300 newly admitted students, I had the main responsibility for the 200 voluntary workers who was involved in the student reception. I made sure that all volunteers received the education required to get involved and my main focus was how to convey a large amount of information to a large amount of people.
