  I was a Farm Manager Intern and the Volunteer Coordinator at Oranjezicht City Farm (OZCF, https://ozcf.co.za/). As the Farm Manager Intern, I was responsible for assisting with weekly planning sessions, overseeing seed planting and propagation activities, implementing farm infrastructure improvements through funding allocated by the Western Cape Government, and other day-to-day farming activities. As the Volunteer Coordinator, I was responsible for contacting new volunteers, familiarizing them with the farm through an orientation program, finding creative ways of connecting their interests and skills with the needs of the farm, and ensuring that they have the knowledge and tools to contribute in a meaningful way.
