  As the senior editor at Imprint, I work collaboratively with all staff to ensure the successful publication of articles across our website. I lead staff pitch meetings, and continually source information to make sure that we stay on top of the most important issues in the community. I work with staff to assign stories, and see each story through to completion by editing and communicating with writers.

  As a Staff Writer for Imprint, I am able to use my writing and communication skills to engage more deeply with the University of Waterloo community. I work to develop story ideas across a number of areas (Arts & Life, News, Science, etc.), and interview faculty and community members as part of my research process. I attend to deadlines, and ensure that I am staying on top of current events and delivering information to the student body in a timely and informative matter.   As a tutor for grades 1-2, I assisted in implementing the Literary Intervention program created by the Simcoe County District School Board. I worked directly with students on reading and writing activities, which were tailored to their individual needs as students. I focused on helping students develop foundational skills with regard to language, and used various methods (games, challenges, storybooks) to aid in their problem-solving skills.   As a Garden Centre Employee, I worked in both greenhouse maintenance and retail assistance. I worked heavily in-store as well as in the greenhouse to upkeep plants, which included duties such as watering, trimming, cleaning, and more. In both of the outlined areas, I provided assistance and knowledge for customers shopping within the garden centre.   As a Student Page within the Orillia Public Library's Information Services Department, I was tasked with a number of duties, ranging from organization of library materials to customer support and community outreach. During my years at the library, I developed expert organizational skills within the Dewey Decimal system by shelving and arranging books, newspaper, magazines, microfilm, and more. I assisted in library workshops and events, which strengthened my teamwork and community outreach skills. I created numerous graphics for the library such as bestseller lists and event posters.
