Andi was one of my first managers upon joining RMS out of school. Andi helped me understand deeply how and why the products and metrics we provided our clients mattered to their process and business. This set a critical foundation for my entry into the catastrophe modeling and insurance market. Over her years at RMS, Andi mentored many a graduate in the same way and helped these new joiners understand our purpose and our clients' needs. Her interpersonal skills and insurance market knowledge not only made her an excellent manager and mentor, but also an excellent relationship manager. I shadowed Andi often and assisted her as an associate on several large accounts. Andi was very well-liked and trusted by our clients. She was very invested in helping our clients find solutions to business problems, including new and more efficient workflows. I can highly recommend Andi in any of these capacities.

Andi and I worked together as colleagues at RMS for over 9 years. During that time, Andi constantly stepped out of her comfort zone to broaden the value she could add to the organization, using her strong analytical and interpersonal skills to excel in each role along the way. In 2015, when I was a product manager and Andi was a scrum master, we worked closely together for over a year to deliver version 1.0 of the company’s flagship software product suite. As scrum master, Andi’s primary responsibility was to keep our team aligned and on-track to deliver our commitments on-time and with quality. Andi employed both her analytical and interpersonal skills to achieve this, defining and pulling various metrics to indicate when a timeline may be at risk, and then gently communicating risks and mitigation options to stakeholders to facilitate conversation. Andi’s data-driven approach to problem solving, paired with her ability to influence others, was a big factor in our success. Not surprisingly, she was soon promoted to managing a team of scrum masters and overseeing the work of over 60 developers. During her time at RMS, Andi earned a leadership role in 3 separate business units: client development, software development, and model development. Each department required unique core competencies, demonstrating Andi’s ability to quickly onboard with complex topics, collaborate successfully with her peers, and build effective teams. Andi would be an asset to any team!
