  Wrote my bachelor regarding the application possibilities, operational advantages and disadvantages in using their exhaust gas emission sensor, MES 1001, on maritime SCR-systems (Selective Catalytic Reduction, for the removal of NOx particle emissions from exhaust gasses). The project was used by Danfoss IXA to determine value points on their sensor, to be used for their future sales. • Contained mounting and automations possibilities, and limitations of the sensor. • Possible reduction of the urea consumption, by using the sensor to control the dosing to the SCR system, in relation to the MARPOL NOx emission requirements. • Harmful effects of SCR operation on the following exhaust gas system components, the engines fuel consumption and how the sensor could be used to prevent these effects.
