Andee Isaacs is hard-working, driven, and an all-around kind and compassionate human. I was one of Andee's students at LEARN Academy, a coding Bootcamp in San Diego, CA. Andee is a natural teacher and computer programing mastermind. I was able to learn so much from everything he showed us. He took the time to meet us all where we were at and had immense patience with us. He also spent hours outside of class, going above and beyond to ensure our code was working and being tested properly. Andee quickly became a favorite for our classmates in the LEARN Academy program. He would support those who were struggling and really helped us understand what we were doing and how to do it well. Andee would make us laugh and not feel stupid or insignificant and he always encouraged creative freedom. He has truly helped me learn so much and I know he will be a strong asset to any team that he works with. He has strong communication skills, a mind for testing and complicated programming, and loves to work hard and help everyone around him. I hope you have the pleasure of working with Andee in the future!

Andee and I met at LEARN Academy, Web Development bootcamp in the end of 2020. As my Instructor his teaching style impressed me from day one. Not only of his vast software knowledge, but his passion for solidifying that his students knew each concept before moving on. He personally would take time out of his day for his students in 1on1s and pair programmings in and out of the classroom. Andee taught me proper etiquette and tricks to help guide me down the web development path. Now, his words and teachings translate into my daily success. He is very patient and understanding, with bounds of software engineering experience to give out. I would be happy to taught by, mentored by, or work along side with him again, on any project.

To complete LEARN Academy's four-month program, students are required to attend a one month, full time, internship with a San Diego web technology company. I and two other students were selected to intern directly with LEARN Academy to develop a decoupled full-stack application, utilizing React and Ruby on Rails. The final delivered product allowed incoming students to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript through the browser, utilizing a web-based IDE and providing admins the ability to limit access to only invited users and track each unique student's progress through an online dashboard. My developer responsibilities included the development of the Ruby on Rails PostgreSQL database, RESTful API endpoints, validations, testing, and administrative dashboard functionality implemented. Additionally, I operated as the product manager, managing our teams' task board and prioritizing each member's daily tasks following an Agile methodology. This included reviewing and approving all Github pull requests and enforcing documentation protocols. Show less

WebMasterIcons, now rebranded as SmartSites- started as an internal hackathon idea, plucked from a list of parked domains. The concept, design and live launch happened throughout the duration of the hackathon and became the web development and design firm within Melen LLC, parent company of various successful online brands. WMI was birthed from the need of Melen's clients who purchased marketing services that required a proper website design or redesign. WMI has grew into a successful graphic and web design firm having delivered hundreds of web sites to satisfied clients and was later rebranded as SmartSites. Show less
