The EEA and Norway Grants (Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein) support 15 EU Beneficiary States with a total of EUR 2.8b with the overall aimm to reduce social and economic disparities and strengthen bilateral relations. As the Civil Society Junior Professional I work with programme and grants management tasks in the Active Citizens Fund programmme which funds independent civil society in all Beneficiary States. Discussion moderator at a deliberative poll for the Icelandic constitution, lead by the Social Science Research Institute at the University of Iceland. A project of deliberative democracy, where 300 people took part in a 2-day deliberation on the Icelandic Constitution. The meeting focused on democracy in Iceland - electoral systems, constituencies, and referendums. As a discussion moderator I was a neutral participant, although I raised points or questions to ensure the continued debate amongst participants and that all opinions were respected, and participants treated equally and fairly.
