In the Advanced Energy Systems Directorate, the training was among four sections: 1- Nuclear Infrastructure and Crisis Management Section. 2- Nuclear Power Reactors, Small Modular Reactors Technical Section. 3- Innovative Nuclear Fuel Research Section. 4- Licensing Section. Main fields covered: Nuclear reactors technologies and limitations, Desalination plants including desalination method and related economic analysis, Nuclear newcomer countries challenges, i.e., infrastructure challenges in Jordan and how to overcome, Safety assessment activities and crisis management of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs), Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) consideration and detailed scientific inspection as a preferred option for Jordan, Emergency plan for the JNPP, Nuclear fuel cycle, Transportation of radioactive materials and storage facilities, Radioactive waste disposal and storage, with all detailed stages and processes, Reprocessing of spent fuel and its limitations, Bid Invitation Specifications (BIS) and nuclear reactor design evaluation, License and permits procedure according to the international and national standards by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Jordan Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC).
