  Working as Pipe Line Fitting Engineer,I’m responsible for o In the Factory • Producing any kind of pipe fitting in any dimensions and preparing the molds for this work( Flanges, reducers ,ladders, end cap….etc) . • Transforming the pipes into spools from the isometric drawings by guiding spool makers through their work and preparing all the calculations they need for any kind of spooling work( Calculations for: pipe lengths, molds for non standard pieces, mitered fittings such as elbow, tees . Which I developed a program for these calculations ‘examples available when required’) • Producing any kind of manhole system, benching and shaft , from preparing mold to finishing • Taking care of all lamination works using all types of resins and glass o On site • Providing full after sale technical support to all our sites and looking for fast solutions and guiding small groups of laminators and spool makers in order to have the flexibility and the ability to act in against of any conditions no matter how difficult is it • Meeting consultants and clients and preparing for approvals and solving any comments immediately • Lamination works on sites where high chemical corrosion is required such as: pump stations (Such as DS171 in Dubai which is the biggest sewage pump station in the middle east,……) ,chambers, Manholes , …. o During the financial crises our company went looking for new opportunities, and I found a good opportunity while working with Dubai municipality in sewage pump station with suggesting to install a high chemical resistance FRP platforms instead of stainless steel which in result reduced the cost • FRP Maintenance platforms Design and installation: I had the opportunity to lunch this new type of work in our company, From A to Z I was responsible for designing, preparing approvals, preparing shop drawing and finally installation, and after the success in the first project now we have approvals for another three projects with Dubai Municipality and RTA .   Working in the GRP factory, my work can be divided into three main groups:  Material Related: Every and each material used should be tested and approved before it is used and all these tests was done as per standards(ISO,ASTM,AWWA,BSI)  Product Related: My job started form the kick off of any project by preparing submittals ,data sheets ,approvals and any special calculations required by the customer , after that I had to follow up the product through its life until it is send to the customer, and this included all kinds of visual(defects, general appearance), mechanical(3 dimensional loading cases short and long term :stiffness, axial ,circumferential deflection and creep ) and physical(chemical , structural),and to make sure that all products meet the for conducting a clients and municipality specification and the world wide standards (API, AWWA,ASTM, ISO, BSI)  Analyzing: after gathering all data from all kinds of tests we ran a complete statistical analyses to follow the process capability and improvement. Beside my main job I had the opportunity to start developing a mathematical model using Matlab to apply a very advanced mechanical analyzing on the lamination. Show less
